Brazil, Rio de Janeiro Festivals?
In addition to Carnival in February 2010, is there any other festivals or parades in the city that I could attend next year and if so, what month? I tried to make arrangements for Carnival, but the airfares and rooms doubled quadrupled during the same period. Thanks for the imput and continue to grow. I want to visit River between April and July with a possible trip to Manaus and Recefie. I'm no stranger to S of America, but have never gotten a job or vist Brazil! Money is a problem when the price of business class ticket from the U.S. jumps from $ 1250 to 6500 per person. I believe that even Tiger Woods would have a problem with that!
eh .. I do not know about any other festival. Have you ever been to Rio? If money is a problem .. You can go right after. I went to Rio de Janeiro, between March and April and everyone (tourists) had cleared by then, prices were problems in one of its lowest .. and the beaches were empty. (the way I like it) have to talk more with the locals and enjoy more of what they do good luck
