Why is it so incredibly cheap RyanAir? Weekday flights are as cheap as € 0.49 each way!?

I was in Europe a few months ago and used Ryanair and the total of my flight from London to Venice 79 euros each way. The total purchase amounted to about 35 euros after tax. But still € 0.79? That's ridiculously cheap. A comparable flight distance in the U.S. would be in Los Angeles, CA Dallas, TX and it would cost in any part of a minimum of $ 200 to $ 600 round trip. Southwest Airlines' Ding function has some cheap prices, but nowhere near $ 40/roundtrip at all. Even SF a flight to LA, which is one of the cheaper, shorter flights and more frequent, it runs $ 70 cheaper. Help me out here. How Ryanair so cheap? What is wrong with the U.S. airline industry? Imagine flying from Los Angeles to New York at the return of $ 50. This is the way flight should be.

Ryanair is so cheap for a number of reasons. First, they are trying to stimulate demand by making low-cost flights land, they would rather sell tickets at a loss and have all the entire aircraft, which have empty seats. They said a lot of times you want to put the most large / traditional airline business (though she said in a funny way). Fly in / out of a lot of "secondary" the airports, the smaller airports that cost less than a space rental company in one of the main ways that keep costs of subcontracting is a lot of work — baggage handling, cleaning equipment, etc. All these tasks are outsourced to a third party. In the U.S. and also with the major / companies traditional European carriers, these jobs are performed by airline employees who are often union members. Employees low rates per hour higher and more expensive benefits that subcontractors and that is where much of the savings comes. Moreover, most of its flights are short flights an hour or so, which means the same plane can be used for 12 or more flights in one day. If the plane is full (or near) for each flight will be so much money (or more) as airlines selling more expensive tickets, but fewer of them. Compare your routes from Aer Lingus or the Virgin and see how many of its flights are short flights. In a less positive note, Ryanair is now under investigation by several countries to implement advertising campaigns dishonest and hitting customers with a lot hidden charges. There are allegations that constantly charging clients 10-20% more in fees than the fees actually are. This is for things like airport landing fees and taxes. There are also allegations that they have charged for wheelchair rental, excess baggage fees, etc. Finally, the people in the U.S. only not travel as much as our European counterparts. People who grow up in Europe are used to take the train or bus to travel around the country and all of its neighbors, if only for a night or a weekend short. In the U.S., who are addicted to our cars and our long working weeks. Do not leave town every weekend, but many Europeans do. The airline based in the U.S. with the same business model would have a difficult time implementing many of the flights and maintenance of all them fully, especially on short journeys so many. Rock bottom prices like that would definitely get more people and flying, but not the levels needed to make a profit.
